My crash at X-Games had me as a write off till mid march. Finally able to strap on my board again and do what I love most. I headed out to Big White Resort in Kelowna, B.C. Every year Big White hosts one of my favorite
events of all time, Neil Edgeworth Memorial Banked Slalom! Even though I was unable to ride in the event I still went out to show my support and enjoy the great time!

After we shredded the hell out of Big White, socialized with everyone at the event, I found out that I had been chosen along with friend and teammate Dan Csokonay for the Neil Daffern award. Neil was a snowboarding pioneer from Calgary. He has been credited with the first ever twin tip snowboard among other things. He was in a tragic helicopter accident. Neil's parents Tony and Gillian had started this award to give up and coming competitive snowboarders money allowing us to fulfill our dreams. I would like to thank Tony and Gillian for there efforts and It is much appreciated and very thoughtful!
