North Vancouver, Dry Land Training

Exactly one month ago I made the drive out to North Van. I decided to come two weeks early to our two month National Team training camp. One week after that, Teammate Jake Holden came out to join. We are both post surgery injured athletes looking to get a head start on the summer training schedule. In those two weeks we both accomplished allot. Training daily with Anthony from Level 10 Fitness and also going mountain biking.

Jake Holden and I, Mountain Biking on Mt. Fromme

Starting May 7th the whole team showed up to the team house. It's located directly at the bottom of some of the best mountain bike trails in the world, also close commuting distance to Level 10 Fitness and many skateboard parks.

Our day to day schedule with the team is hectic! Usually filled with two sessions with Anthony at Level 10 Fitness, A hike/bike, Then topped off with a stability/core session. Along with all the Fitness training we are also working with Dr. David Cox ( A Clinical Psychologist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University) to finish off our evening.

Its long hard days but I know I speak for everyone when we know the outcome will be great. With all this training our bodies will be able to go longer without fatigue, Take hard crashes without injury, And look great while doing it ;)

Now I am entering into week 3 (5 total since I have been here) of the training camp. This week includes receiving our new Road Bikes, Hikes, Gym, Pilates, Yoga, Skateboarding, and maybe some BMX.

Look out for more updates!
